6. Detailing & Bar Arrangement

• [ ] Cover: Verify concrete cover requirements for durability and fire rating (clear cover to outermost bar).
• [ ] Bar Spacing: Ensure clear spacing between parallel bars is sufficient (typically $\geq 1"$ or $d_b$) for concrete flow.
• [ ] Standard Hooks: Detail standard hooks (90°, 180°) with correct extension lengths.
• [ ] Bar Support: Specify types and spacing of bar supports (chairs, bolsters) to prevent displacement during placement.
• [ ] Bundled Bars: If used, ensure the total bundle area is correctly calculated and development lengths are adjusted.

4. Columns and Walls

• Longitudinal bar minimum/maximum: Is the reinforcement ratio between 1% and 8%?
• Tie spacing: For tied columns, does the tie spacing meet the smallest of 16db, 48dtie, or least dimension?
• Lap splices: Are staggered splices located away from high-stress regions (e.g., mid-height of column)?
• Wall reinforcement: For shear walls, is distributed reinforcement provided in both directions?
