While newer ASUS motherboards support direct internet updates, the USB method remains the most reliable and universally compatible.

Method A: Update via USB Drive

  1. Insert the prepared FAT32 USB drive into any USB 2.0 port (preferred over USB 3.0 for compatibility).
  2. Inside EZ Flash, it will automatically detect storage devices.
  3. Browse to your USB drive and select the .CAP file.
  4. EZ Flash will verify the checksum and confirm the BIOS matches your motherboard model.
  5. Press Yes to start flashing.
  6. Do not power off, reset, or press any key during the update (takes 1–2 minutes).
  7. Once complete, the system will restart.
