Step 1: Open the Enscape Asset Library

Performance Impact: Does Offline Library Slow Down Enscape?
No. In fact, it speeds it up.
- Memory usage: Offline assets are loaded on-demand. Having them on disk does not increase RAM usage.
- Loading times: Placing an offline asset is nearly instantaneous (~0.2 seconds). Streaming the same asset can take 3–10 seconds.
- Startup time: Enscape scans the offline folder once at launch. With an SSD, this takes 1–2 seconds, even with 50 GB of assets.
Recommendation: Always store the offline library on an NVMe M.2 SSD. Do not use a mechanical HDD (5400 RPM) as thumbnails will load slowly. Memory usage: Offline assets are loaded on-demand
