Warning

• Do not flash while recording. Brick risk: 6/10.
• Always backup your config first (if you can export it).
• Keep a CH340G USB serial adapter handy – you will need UART recovery one day.

5. Firmware Update Procedure (Standard)

Step 2: Power Down and Insert USB

1. Shut down the DVR via the menu (System > Shutdown). Do not simply cut power.
2. Insert the USB drive into a rear USB port (avoid front ports if possible).
3. Power on the DVR.
