Step 5: First Launch & Activation

1. Launch VersaWorks 6 from your desktop shortcut or Start Menu.
2. The first run will ask for a License Key – if you have one, enter it. Otherwise, you can run in Demo Mode (fully functional but adds a small watermark to prints).
3. Go to Queue A Properties > Device and select your Roland model.
4. Click Test Print to verify communication.

5) Install process (Windows — typical)

1. Right-click the downloaded .exe (or .zip then extracted) and choose “Run as administrator.”
2. Follow the Installer wizard: accept license agreement, choose install location (default is usually fine).
3. When prompted, install Roland printer drivers included or use drivers previously downloaded.
4. Enter the license key when requested (if supplied).
5. If prompted about connecting the printer, follow instructions (USB/network). Install any recommended Windows drivers if prompted.
6. Complete installation and reboot if prompted.

1. Open the downloaded .dmg and run the installer package.

• Cause: The installer crashed before copying media profiles.
