Majikoi A4 Guide [work] Official
Since there is no official Visual Novel titled "Majikoi A4", you are most likely referring to Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai! A-4, the fourth fandisc in the Majikoi series.
Unlike the main game, the "A" series does not have a complex branching plot with a "True Route." Instead, it functions as an anthology, focusing on specific heroines. In A-4, there are only two heroines: Lee and Margit.
Here is a story development guide (Walkthrough) to help you unlock both routes and navigate the game efficiently.
Review: Majikoi A-4 Guide – The Grand Finale of Slice-of-Life Chaos
Rating: 4.5/5 (Essential for fans, but a specific taste) majikoi a4 guide
For those who have journeyed through the sprawling epic of Majikoi! and its subsequent A-1, A-2, and A-3 discs, Majikoi A-4 Guide feels less like a standard visual novel and more like a victory lap. Billed as the final major entry in the "A" series, this release doesn’t try to reinvent the wheel. Instead, it serves up exactly what the fanbase craves: more banter, more absurdity, and a heartfelt send-off for the Kazama Family.
1. Overview & Prerequisites
- Unlock Condition: You must complete Majikoi A-3 (specifically the main route involving the "Heavens" battle).
- Story Focus: Unlike previous A-series games, A-4 does not focus on a single heroine. It is an omnibus format featuring:
- Kazuko "Wanko" & Margit (The "Fate" route)
- Tsubame Matsunaga (The "One Night Stand" route)
- Kokoro Fushikawa (The "Bad End" follow-up)
- Yukie & Mayucchi (The "Couple's" route)
- A-3 True Route Aftermath (Short epilogue)
2. How to Navigate the Main Menu
- START → Proceeds linearly through the prologue. After the prologue, the game presents a MAP SELECTION.
- The map has 5 locations. Each corresponds to a different heroine's route.
- SAVE OFTEN. Right after the prologue, save before picking a map point.
The "Kokoro Fushikawa" Secret Route
You cannot get Kokoro on your first playthrough.
- Clear any one main heroine route (Wanko is fastest).
- Start a New Game. In Chapter 1, a new option will appear: "Talk to the mysterious transfer student."
- Ignore all other heroines. Every time a choice appears for Miyako or Momoyo, choose the third option: "Do nothing."
- Final Flag: In Chapter 5, choose "I want to know the truth about Kokoro."
Part 5: The "A4" Guide for Sequels (S, A-1, A-2, A-3, A-4, A-5)
If you own Majikoi S or the Majikoi A series (A-1 through A-5), the "A4" concept changes. Since there is no official Visual Novel titled
-
Majikoi S: This is the "After Story" fan disc. Use your original save file. There are no wrong choices here except for the "Agave Route" (Margit). To get Margit, you must first complete every other route in S, then replay the prologue and select "Steal the ramen."
-
Majikoi A (A-1 to A-5): These are linear side stories. There is no "guide" needed because there are zero choices. The A-series are pure kinetic novels focused on individual heroines (A-1=Chris, A-2=Yukie, A-3=Miyako, A-4=Momoyo, A-5=Wanko).
Note for A-4 specifically (Momoyo’s Disc): This is arguably the best entry in the entire franchise. It contains the "24-hour battle" sequence. To see the secret epilogue, you must watch the credits twice without skipping. Kazuko "Wanko" & Margit (The "Fate" route) Tsubame
Route 1: Kasumi Minagawa
Kasumi’s route focuses on her relationship with Yamato and her struggles with self-confidence and her identity.
Flowchart Walkthrough:
- Selection Screen: Choose Kasumi Minagawa.
- Proceed through the story. (No choices for the first several scenes).
- Scene: "The Competition"
- Choice: "Cheer for her." (Standard Scene)
- Choice: "Coach her strictly." (Leads to a slight variation in dialogue)
- Note: Neither choice results in a bad ending, but "Cheer for her" is generally considered the "canon" feeling choice.
- Scene: "The Confession"
- Choice: "Accept her feelings." (Required for True Ending)
- Choice: "Hesitate." (Leads to a standard ending/different dialogue branch)
- Ending: Once the route is complete, you will unlock the CGs and ending credits for Kasumi.
Completionist Tips
- Unlocking H-Scenes: Most H-scenes in Majikoi A-4 are unlocked naturally by selecting the "Accept/Love" options during the critical choice points listed above. If you missed one, check the "Scene Replay" mode in the main menu after finishing the route.
- Bad Endings: The "Bad Ends" in A-4 are usually short scenes where Yamato rejects the heroine or the situation spirals into comedy. It is worth saving before the final choice in each route to see both outcomes.
- CG Completion: If you are missing a CG, it is likely because you did not play through the specific variation of a choice (e.g., choosing "Hesitate" vs "Accept"). Use the Flowchart feature to click on the choice node and select the alternate option without replaying the whole game.
The Good: Peak Comedy and Fan Service
- Laugh-Out-Loud Funny: The writing team clearly had a blast here. One scene involves a tactical board game that escalates into real-life economic warfare between the Kuki and Mayuzumi families. Another features Captain (the dog) being elected as a temporary class president. The timing is flawless.
- Character Dynamics: By this point, the voice actors are so comfortable in their roles that they feel like an improv troupe. The chemistry between Wanko and Chris, or the rivalry between Momoyo and Kazuko, is electric.
- Art & Music: MinatoSoft maintains their high production value. The new CGs (especially the group shots) are gorgeous, and the remixed comedic tracks fit perfectly.
