Rome Total War 2 Radious Mod Review
Report: Rome Total War 2 — Radious Mod
Early Game: Blitzkrieg
In vanilla, you might sit back and build infrastructure for 20 turns. In Radious, you cannot turtle.
- Expand Fast: Because income is high, the AI will spam full-stack armies very quickly. If you sit still, you will be overwhelmed by neighbors who have expanded.
- Military Focus: Build military buildings early. You need quantity to match the AI.
- Diplomacy: It is harder to maintain alliances, but easier to get trade agreements. Money is plentiful, so use it to bribe enemies or sponsor allies to distract your rivals.
Faction Choice
- Beginner-friendly: Rome, Iceni, Egypt – strong rosters and forgiving economy.
- Experienced: Carthage, Seleucid, Parthia – Radious adds many new units, so they play very differently.
6. Aesthetic and Audio
Radious often includes a custom UI and visual effects. The blood and gore effects (if sub-mods are used) are enhanced, making battles look grittier. The addition of custom unit cards helps distinguish the new units, though the art style is distinct from the vanilla oil-painting style, which some purists dislike. rome total war 2 radious mod
