For the uninitiated, Ultimate Chicken Horse is a multiplayer platformer where players simultaneously build the level and race through it. You start with a basic empty map. Each round, every player chooses an object (a saw blade, a trampoline, a conveyor belt, a trapdoor, etc.) to add to the course. Then, everyone attempts to run from the start to the goal.
The genius lies in the scoring: you need to reach the goal to earn points, but if everyone makes it, the course is too easy. Conversely, if no one finishes, it’s too hard. The sweet spot is a deadly, absurdly complex nightmare that you alone can navigate. That’s Ultimate Chicken Horse.
